Pete’s Smell The Roses Bike Ride
Join me for a 40 mile loop starting in Colonial Park Gardens.
This ride will feature the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden where we will stop and smell the roses.
Meet up at the intersection of Mettlers Road and Colonial Drive at 9:00 am and kickstands up by 9:15 am. There are many parking lots in the park.
We will bike first and then visit the garden after the ride for the festival.

Colonial Park Gardens annual Rose Day Festival celebrates one of the first signs of summer…Roses in Bloom! In the heart of the park, the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden displays thousands of many varieties, both modern and of historic significance. Visitors are invited to celebrate and revel in the day by strolling through the gardens, enjoying music and live entertainment, meeting local artisans, and indulging in some great food! Back by popular demand, roses plants will also be for sale. You will be sure to find a fun activity for festival-goers of any age!

Distance is 40 miles.
No drop ride.
Terrain: Fairly flat especially along the D&R canal which is hard packed dirt road ok for skinny tires. Some gently rolling hills after going through Princeton.
Rain cancels ride.
