Making things happen.

We have a lot of fun encouraging people to get out around town without their cars. And the more people who help us out, the more we get the message out that this is a really fun way to get to know the place where you live. So we’d like to ask if you have a couple of hours to help us spread the word about the what we do. It’s easy work, and fun! See below for when and where we could use help over the next couple of months.
First, we have been lucky enough to be asked to help out at a couple of fun events this coming Sunday and we could use your help!

In the morning, we’ll be at the Superhero Half Marathon at Ginty Field from 7:30 to 11:30. We’re doing a Super Mario Brothers themed water table, handing out cups of water to all those tired runners and entertaining them along the way. We need about five more people to help us out there
Later that day, we’re going to be at Festival Earth on the Green, running a bike valet from 12 to 6! We could use a few helpers here too!
No special skills needed, just a friendly smile and enthusiasm about biking and walking!
If you can’t make it on Sunday, maybe you could help on these other days:
May 31 and June 1: 6:30-9:30: Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival at Schiff Nature Preserve in Mendham
June 8: Answer questions at our table at the Revolutionary Ramble Bike Ride on the campus of Drew University in Madison
June 28 and 29: Help us out at town hall when we at the monthly Morristown bike ride and welcome award-winning vegan food truck The Cinnamon Snail to Morristown!
July 26: We always need helpers at our annual picnic at Vail Mansion
Later in the summer we’ll need also help for our Bike-In Movie NIght and the Gran Fondo. We’ll have more info on those in a few weeks.
Other ways you could help out:
We always need help with putting up fliers around town for events and classes! If you find yourself in local shops fairly often, maybe this is the job for you!
We are also looking for anyone who would like to lead one of our walks Wednesday at 7:30 am or Tuesdays at 8:00 am. Or, if you have another day and time in mind and want to get involved, let us know!

I suppose we are really trying to “get are arms around” this obesity problem in earnest.
Vegan, doesn’t that translate to “everything pureed to the consistency of baby mushy?”
How ’bout the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile instead..

I didn’t see this comment until today! I just love the Cinnamon Snail, and I don’t think mushy is how it is normally described, but if you can get the Oscar Weinermobile here for a bike ride or walk, we should totally do it.
